 He used 9 4/5 cups of tomato sauce in total. We also know he spent 4 1/5 + 3 2/5 which is 7 3/5. Now we can subtract. Make both numbers into improper fractions to get 49/5 - 38/5. We get 11/5, or 2 1/5. Hope this helped!
