Answer:

It will take Lin an hour and 25 minutes at her constant speed, and it will take Jada at her constant speed an hour and 30 minutes.

SO, Lin will arrive at 4:25

and Jada will arrive at 4:30

There is a 5 minute difference in time.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the facts given, Lin can walk 13 miles in 5 hours which when you divide means she can walk 2.6 mph (miles per hour), and Jada can walk 2.5 mph.

To get these answers you divide the current speeds into the total distance

For example, in Lin's case...

3.25 (The 3 and 1/4 mile converted to decimal form)

2.6 (Lin's Average speed per hour)

3.25/2.6=1.25

1.25 (1 hour and 25 minutes)

On the grid draw the graph of y = 3x + 2 for values of x + 2 for values of x from -2 to 2
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer:

The required graph is shown below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided equation y=3x+2

We need to draw the graph of the equation.

Put x=0 in the above equation.

y=3(0)+2

y=2

The coordinate is (0,2).

Put y=0 in the given equation.

0=3x+2

-2=3x

x=\frac{-2}{3}

The coordinate is (\frac{-2}{3},0).

Now draw the graph by using the above coordinates.

The required graph is shown below.

On a piece of paper, graph this system of inequalities. Then determine which region contains the solution to the system.
Mashutka [201]

we have

y\leq \frac{1}{4}x+3 ----> inequality 1

The solution of the inequality 1 is the shaded area below the solid red line

The solution is the region D and region C

y\geq-x+5 -----> inequality 2

The solution of the inequality 2 is the shaded area above the solid blue line

The solution is the region B and region C

The solution of the system is the common area

so

The solution is the region C

see the attached figure

therefore

the answer is the option C

Region C
