Answer:

0.35 g Li

Explanation:

H2SO4 + 2Li -> Li2SO4 + H2

7 g Li -> 2 g H2

      x  -> 0.10 g H2

x= (0.10 g H2 * 7 g Li)/ 2 g H2      x= 0.35 g Li

What phenomenon does the Coriolis effect arise from making it so we see more than two large convection cells on Earth? Curvature
vredina [299]

Answer:

The Coriolis effect is caused by the rotation of the earth around its own axis.

Explanation:

The Coriolis effect arises from the fact that different latitudes of the earth's surface rotate at different speeds. The path of wind on earth is deflected by the Coriolis effect. As things move over the earth, they meet different speed areas, which causes the Coriolis Effect to divert their route.

Thus, The Coriolis effect is caused by the rotation of the earth around its own axis.

The relatively high boiling point of water is due to water having
Verizon [17]
The answer should be hydrogen bonding. Water only has oxygen and hydrogen in it, which are both nonmetals, so you know the answer cannot be metallic or ionic. It also cannot be nonpolar because the electronegativity of the oxygens will make the molecule polar. You can also know it is hydrogen bonding because it can only take place when a hydrogen is attached to an oxygen, fluorine, or nitrogen. These bonds are very strong attractions, so the molecules are extremely hard to pull apart, creating a high boiling point. Hope that helps!

Which of the following would not cause an increase in the pressure inside a sealed container of neon gas?
r-ruslan [8.4K]

The pressure in a sealed container means the volume of container is fixed

so we cannot change the volume of container hence gas

The other factors which can affect the pressure are

a) moles of gas : if we increase the moles of gas the pressure of gas will increase

b) Temperature: if we increase the pressure of gas the pressure of gas will increase due to increase in kinetic energy

So the following cannot increase pressure

a) decrease in moles of gas

b) decrease in temperature of gas

A solution contains one or more of the following ions: Ag+, Ca2+, and Fe2+. When sodium chloride is added to the solution, no pr
Ksju [112]

Answer:

the ion present in the original solution is Ca2+

Explanation:

Precipitation reactions occur when cations and anions in aqueous solution combine to form an insoluble ionic solid called a precipitate.

Step1 : If we add Nacl to the solution, there is no precipitate formed

⇒The only possible ion that can form a precipate with Cl- is Ag+; since there is no precipitate formed, Ag+ is not present

Step2 : If we add Na2SO4 to the solution, a white precipitate is formed

The possible ions to bind at SO42- are Ca2+ and Fe2+

But the white precipitate formed, points in the direction of Ca2+

⇒This means calcium is present

Step3 : If we add Na2CO3 to the filtered solution, there is a precipate formed

Ca2+ will bind also with CO32- and form a precipitate

So the ion present in the original solution is Ca2+
