Answer:

B)to overcome the repulsion between the protons in the nuclei that join

Fusion is basically the fusion of two hydrogen atoms. Now the nucleus of the hydrogen has protons. The protons are positively charged. When you bring two protons together, what happens? They will repel. To overcome this repusion high temperature is needed. Also the atoms of the hydrogen have to be close to each other to effectively fuse.

Explanation:A, C and D all relate to fission, not fusion.

Zepler [3.9K]

Bonds between carbon and oxygen are more polar than bonds between sulfur and oxygen. nevertheless, sulfur dioxide (SO₂) exhibits a dipole moment while carbon dioxide (CO₂) does not because of the difference in their shape, CO₂ is having linear geometry thus exhibit zero dipole moment while SO₂ is having bent shape thus exhibit dipole moment. So, despite the fact that bonds between carbon and oxygen are more polar than bonds between sulfur and oxygen. nevertheless, sulfur dioxide (SO₂) exhibits a dipole moment while carbon dioxide (CO₂) does not.

A cathode ray tube is made of glass with a small amount of some kind of gas in it. It has metal electrodes at each end to pick u
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

One of the main uses of the cathode ray tube is in the Cathode  ray oscilloscope

Explanation:

Cathode rays are produced when a gas in an evacuated glass at very low pressure and high pressure breaks up into positive and negative ions. the negative ions move towards the anode(positive electrode) while the positive ions move towards the cathode(negative electrode), and there they knock off electrons (which are known as cathode rays) from the metal plate of the cathode.

Cathode ray tubes are mainly used in oscilloscopes, television picture tubes and in computer screens.

The cathode ray oscilloscope is used in a.c. and d.c. voltage measurements, observation of waveforms, time measurements, etc.
