The Latin American revolutions from 1804 to 1821 were inspired mostly by the French and American Revolutions, and led to the creation of several independent states in Latin America--many of which pried themselves from Spanish and Portuguese rule.
They told the colonist they were not allowed to move any farther west than the Appalachian Mountains.

This is your friend John. I just recently moved to East London, near the docks from our home town of Cardiff.
Remember, I told you I will move to the big city one day to become rich!
Unforunately, London is a far more difficult place than I ever thought.
I work at the docks right now because I need to earn enough money to get a decent place. Right now, I live in a 3-bedroom house which is shared by 10 people.
We wake up at 4:00 am in the morning and start to work at 6:00 am. We work 12 hours a day for 6 days a week and everyday we just get 30 minutes of lunch break.
This is an aweful way to live but I guess that is how you become something big in London.
