The Knights of labor was the largest and one of the most important American labor organizations of the 1880s. It was founded on the 28th day of December in year 1869 by Uriah Stephens. They promoted the producers ethic of republicanism and demanded the eight-hour day, rejected socialism and anarchism and encouraged the social and cultural uplift of the workingman. In 1880, the organization reached 28,000 members and even gained more members to 100,000 in 1884. But in 1893, the knights of labor declines its membership because of public pressure, power vested in reformist factions, and employers' unwillingness to arbitrate.

12. The limited role that the federal government had with the states was ended by?
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. The limited role that the federal government had with the states was ended by Franklin Roosevelt and his New Deal.

Explanation:

The New Deal was the government program implemented by President Roosevelt from the beginning of his term in 1933, until his death in 1945. The President believed that the only way to get out of the Great Depression effectively was through the implementation of Keynesian economic policies, that is, through the active participation of the federal government in the economy.

Thus, from the beginning of his government, Roosevelt began to carry out government programs of various kinds, all aimed at the same objective of redirecting the economy on a path of growth, creating jobs and investment that energizes the economy and provides well-being to citizens. For this reason, programs such as the Work Progress Administration, the Social Security Act or the Tennessee Valley Authority, which through public investment sought to achieve these objectives, were the perfect example of a new trend through which the federal government would begin to participate much more actively in the economy.

How did the people of paris greet the first american troops? with guerrilla warfare with respectful silence with cheers and flow
vlabodo [156]

The first American troops in Paris were greeted very warmly: the joy of liberation created girls from Paris greet American soldiers by kissing them; crowds would blaze up the streets to be able to compliment the parading troops after the liberation.

What was America's first army?

In the early months of the American Revolution, the first regular U.S. fighting force, the Continental Army, was collected by the Second Continental Congress on June 14, 1775. It comprised the 22,000 militia troops then surrounding Boston and an additional 5,000 militiamen in New York.

When was the US military at its biggest?

The numbers for all benefits spiked in 1968-69 as U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War reached its peak. All dropped dramatically as that war drew down. But even the height of the Vietnam War pales in comparison to World War II. In 1945, there were over 12 million active duty army personnel.
