Answer:

09 : 55 am

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Trevor spent 15 minutes in the shoe store

25 minutes in the candle store

And then 10 minutes in the card store

Trevor left the card store at 10 : 45 am

Question asked:

What time did he arrive at the shoe store ?

Solution:

Time spent in the shoe store = 15 minutes

Time spent in the candle store = 25 minutes

Time spent in the card store = 10 minutes

Total time spent =  15 minutes + 25 minutes + 10 minutes

                           = 50 minutes

Now, As it is given that Trevor left the card store at 10 : 45 am and we have to find What time he arrived at the shoe store, we subtract 50 minutes from 10 : 45,

Hours              Minutes

10                       45

- 0                       50

..............................................

09                      55

.....................................................

Note : As 45 is less than 50 and cannot be subtracted, taken 1 hour carry out of 10 hours from hours section and as 1 hour is equal to 60 minutes, now it has ; 45 + 60 = 105 minutes and by subtracting 50 from 105 , we get 55 minutes.

And out 10 hours, 1 hour is already given carry to the minute section , hence we get 9 hours.

Thus, he arrived at 09 : 55 am at the shoe store.

tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

\frac{3}{10}

Step-by-step explanation:

In probability, "AND" means "multiplication" and

"OR" means "addition".

We want the probability that she picks FAVORITE SHIRT "AND" FAVORITE PANT.

Probability that she picks favorite shirt = 3/5

Probability that she picks favorite pants = 2/4 = 1/2

Since, "AND", we "multiply" both to get:

3/5 * 1/2 = 3/10

Nicole and adam are each saving money for a car. the total amount of money nicole will save is represented by the function f (x)
Yakvenalex [24]
For this case we have the following functions:
 f (x) = 36 + 4x
 g (x) = x2 + 15
 By matching both functions we have:
 f (x) = g (x)
 36 + 4x = x2 + 15
 Rewriting we have:
 x2 + 15 - 4x - 36 = 0
 x2 - 4x - 21 = 0
 Solving the polynomial we have:
 (x-7) (x + 3) = 0
 x = -3
 x = 7
 Taking the positive root we have:
 x = 7
 Answer:

They will have the same amount of money saved after:

x = 7 weeks
