Note that one side is 20 ft, and the other is 16.

This means that the side that is part of the triangle is 4 ft.

The measurement is still the same for the triangle's height.

Find the area of the rectangle:
24 x 16 = 384
Find the area of the triangle:
4 x 24 = 96

Add the two numbers together:

384 + 96 = 480

You're answer is (C)

hope this helps

Hello!

The formula for a trapezoid is A=0.5h(a+b) where a and b represent the two bases. If you look at the trapezoid sideways you see two bases, 20 and 16, and a height of 24. We will plug this into the equation.

A=0.5(24)(20+16)
A=12(36)
A=432 ft²

I hope this helps!

In circle A shown below, BD with a line above is the diameter and the measure of arc CB is 54 degrees. What is the measure of an
Vinil7 [7]
The complete question in the attached figure

we know that
the triangle ACB is an isosceles triangle
AC=AB----------> equals to the radius
so
∡ACB=∡CBA
the angle ∡CAB is equals to 54° by central angle
so
180°=54°+2*∡CBA--------> ∡CBA=[180-54]/2-----> 63°
∡CBA=63°
∡DBC=∡CBA-----------> ∡DBC=63°

the answer is
∡DBC=63°

a line represented by y = 5x − 2 and a line perpendicular to it intersect at r(1, 3). what is the equation of the perpendicular
Snezhnost [94]
Y=ax+b, y=cx+d (a≠0, c≠0)
If the two line cross perpendicularly ⇔ ac= -1

So a tangent of the perpendicular line is "-(1/5)".

Then, the equation of the perpendicular line is y=-(1/5)x+a (a is y-intercept).

On the other hand, this equation pass r(1, 3), so

3 = -(1/5) times 1 + a

∴ a=16 / 5

Therefore, y=-(1/5)x+16 /5 is answer.
