So each individual bought one drink and one sandwich. The equation to find the cost is 21 = 3x + 6
Subtract 6 from both sides
15 = 3x
Divide 3 from both sides
x = 5
The price of each sandwich was $dollars.

Think of it, 5 + 5 + 5 = 15 (sandwiches)
15 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 21 (Drinks and the total sandwich amount)

Hope this makes sense, ask if you need more help! :)

Can somebody help me with this math problem?
Lelechka [254]

Answer:

B

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve each inequality separately

2x + 3 ≥ 7 ( subtract 3 from both sides )

2x ≥ 4 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x ≥ 2

or

2x + 9 > 11 ( subtract 9 from both sides )

2x > 2 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x > 1

x ≥ 2 satisfies the condition for both inequalities

Thus x ≥ 2 is the solution

If $500 is put into a savings account at 9% interest compounded continuously, how much will it be worth at the end of 3 years? H
Digiron [165]

Answer:

$654.98

Around 7.7 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Value = P × e^(rt)

= 500 × e^(0.09×3)

= 500 × e^(0.27)

= 654.9822254

Double: 500 × 2 = 1000

1000 = 500 × e^(0.09t)

e^(0.09t) = 2

Use ln both sides

0.09t × lne = ln2

t = ln2 ÷ 0.09

t = 7.70163543
