bogdanovich [222]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given c = longest of triange = 15m

Given b = short side of triangle = 9m

By pythagoras' Theorem,

{c}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}   +  {b}^{2}  \\  {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} =  {c}^{2}   \\  {a}^{2}  +  {(9)}^{2}  =  {(15)}^{2}  \\  {a}^{2}  + 81 = 225 \\  {a}^{2}  = 225 - 81 \\  {a}^{2}  = 144 \\ a =  \sqrt{144}  \\  = 12m

I also need help on this one smh
AysviL [449]

Answer:

C. 176.6 Square feet (I think)

Step-by-step explanation:

I tried many different ways and got three of the answers above but I think this is the right one.

The equation to find area of a circular cone base: A= \pi r^2

  1. We are given the diameter (15 Feet) but we need to find the radius. So we use the diameter to radius formula: r = \frac{d}{2}
  2. Plug in numbers: r=\frac{15}{2} ≈ 7.5
  3. Use the Area formula now that you have radius: A=\pi 7.5^2
  4. Solve and get = a = 176.71458676
  5. Looking at the options the closest one to our answer (off by one-tenth) is C.

Sorry if you get this wrong. I tried lol.

A square has the same length on all of it's sides. The area of a square is side times side. So it's 2.2×2.2=?

What is the solution to the equation 5x = 40?
Dima020 [189]
To find X, we can divide 5 into 40.
40 divided by 5 is 8.
Now we can do 5 x 8. That is 40.

X=40

OR we can do it another way.
40 divided by 5 is 8.
Cross out 5 divided by 5.

Now we have 8. Still.
X is 8

What is the domain of the function y = log(x + 3)?
nata0808 [166]

Find the domain of

y = log(x + 3)

Logarithms can only be taken for positive numbers. So you must have

x + 3 > 0

x > – 3          ✔

So the domain of the function is

D = {x ∈ R:  x > – 3}

or using the interval notation

D = (– 3, +∞)

I hope this helps. =)
