Correct answer: you should never smoke when oxygen is in use.

Explanation: Although oxygen is a gas which doesn't catch fire. But an environment rich in oxygen can easily cause burning of other substances which catch fire quickly. Therefore, doctors suggest that the patient should put off the oxygen mask away for few minutes while he/she is smoking.

Also, since the patients on oxygen already have some sort of respiratory or heart diseases, such patients can worsen the condition by smoking.

Why does the cell replicate its DNA?

When cells asexually reproduce they split off from itself, and they have to replicate their DNA so both cells will have it because DNA is what tells the cell what to do, and how to work. The DNA will tell the cell parts all how to do their jobs, and will let the cell know when it should split off from itself. The DNA controls everything in the cell so without it the cell wouldn't know what to do.
