In order to find out how long it is you need to convert the fractions into mixed fractions then multiply.
4 1/3 x 6 1/2 =
13/3 x 13/2 = 169/6
169 divided by 6 = 28 1/6

In the equation, 7 (3a+12)=168 , what are some of the steps that should be taken to solve for x? Select all that apply.
Svetradugi [14.3K]

7(3a + 12) = 168 ← ( divide both sides by 7 )

3a + 12 = 24 ← ( subtract 12 from both sides )

3a = 12 ← ( divide both sides by 3 )

a = 4

OR

distribute the parenthesis by 7

21a + 84 = 168 ← ( subtract 84 from both sides )

21a = 84 ← ( divide both sides by 21 )

a = 4
