Let width = x  then
2x+ 2(x + 2) = 80
4x + 4 = 80
4x = 76
x = 19

so the width is 19 and the length is 21 answer

Let L represent the length of the rectangle
let W represent the width of the rectangle
the length is 2 more than the width
L = 2 + W
Let the Perimeter = P
P = 2(L + W)
substitute L = 2 + W, and P =80 in the Formula above
80 = 2( 2 + W + W)
80 = 2(2 + 2W)
80 = 4 + 4W
4W = 80 - 4
4W = 76
W = 19
L = 2 + W
L = 2 + 19
L = 21
the width is 19
the length is 21

Mrs. Nevin is making a costume for a school play. She needs a piece of fabric that is greater than 1/2 of a yard but less than 5
Bumek [7]

Answer:

4/7 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Required fabric is > 1/2 but < 5/8

Let required fabric = x

Then ;

Converting the fractions to decimal :

1/2 = 0.5 ; 5/8 = 0.625

0.5 < x < 0.625

3/8 yards = 0.375 ;

4/7 yards = 0.571

3/7 yards = 0.429

2/4 yards = 0.5

0.5 < 0.571 < 0.625

From the options, only 4/7 yards satisfies the condition :

A triangle has angle measures of 30 degrees and 70 degrees. What is the measure of the third angle?
cricket20 [7]
Because a triangle's angles need to equal 180, you can subtract 100(30+70) and you will get 80. So 80 will be your third angle.
