You can do ounces divided by 16 = pounds. It is a larger to smaller because there are 16 ounces in one pound because 16 ounces make up one pound

Answer:

It is required to write a problem which can be solved by comparing pounds and ounces.

<em>Let us consider the problem.</em>

Seth has 16 pounds of meat. How many ounces of meat will he have?

On solving, we get,

Number of pounds of meat Seth have = 16

As, 1 pound = 16 ounces

Then, 16 pound = 16 × 16 = 256 ounces.

Thus, Seth will have 256 ounces of meat.

<em>Since, 'pounds' are used for large amount of the object. To focus on the amount which is moderately small, we change form larger unit to small unit.</em>

Please explain as well, solve the trigonometric equation
aliina [53]

Given:

The trigonometric equation is:

\tan x\sin x=\tan x\cos x

To find:

The solutions for the given equation over 0^\circ.

Solution:

We have,

\tan x\sin x=\tan x\cos x

It can be written as

\tan x\sin x-\tan x\cos x=0

\tan x(\sin x-\cos x)=0

\tan x=0 and (\sin x-\cos x)=0

The solutions over 0^\circ are:

x=90^\circ,180^\circ and \sin x=\cos x

x=90^\circ,180^\circ and x=45^\circ, 225^\circ

Therefore, the correct option is D.

Zoey goes to a store an buys an item that costs x dollars. She has a coupon for 15% off, and then a 9% tax is added to the disco
pshichka [43]

Answer:

0.9265x

Step-by-step explanation:

x - 0.15x + 0.09(0.85x)

x is the initial amount, -0.15x is subtracting 15% of the original amount (leaving 0.85x), and 0.09(0.85x) is the 9% tax.

Simplified:

x - 0.15x + 0.09(0.85x)

= 0.85x + 0.0765x

= 0.9265x

What is the equation of the line x–3y=18 in slope-intercept form? Drag and drop the appropriate number, symbol, or variable to e
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
Simple...

you have: x-3y=18

You want to convert it into slope-intercept form or y=mx+b form-->>>

x-3y=18

Isolate the variable-->>

x-3y=18
-x      -x

-3y=-x+18

Now simply divide...

\frac{-3y}{-3} = \frac{-x+18}{-3}

y=\frac{1}{3}x -6

Thus, your answer.
