<h2>Answer:</h2>

The vertex of the function is:

                             (-2,-2)

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

We are given a absolute value function f(x) in terms of variable "x" as:

                       f(x)=-|x+2|-2

We know that for any absolute function of the general form:

f(x)=a|x-h|+k

the vertex of the function is : (h,k)

and if a<0 the graph of function opens downwards.

and if a>0 the graph of the function opens upwards.

Hence, here after comparing  the equation with general form of the equation we see that:

a= -1<0 , h= -2 and k= -2

Since a is negative , hence, the graph opens down .

         Hence, the vertex of the function is:

                         (-2,-2)

Answer: (-2,-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The parent function of the absolute function is f(x)=|x|.

General form of absolute function : f(x)=m|x-a|+b , where (a,b)  is the vertex of the function.

Also  , when m<0 then the graph opens downwards.

when m>0 then the graph opens upwards.

Given : The absolute value function: f(x)=-|x+2|-2

Comparing the given absolute function to with the general form of the absolute function , then we get

m= -1<0 , a= -2 and b= -2

Since m is negative , it means the graph of the function opens downwards .

∴, the vertex of the function is : (-2,-2)

What is obtained by squaring the standard deviation?
anastassius [24]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

Variance

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

The standard deviation is related to the variance. The standard deviation measures the variation or dispersion of a set of data and is represented by the Greek letter sigma \sigma, while the variance measures how far a set of  numbers are spread out from their average value. The variance is obtained by squaring the standard deviation, so the variance can be found as \sigma^{2}

Solve the inequality 2c/3+1&gt;7<br>
Rasek [7]

Answer:

c > 9

Step-by-step explanation:

2c/3 + 1 > 7

subtract 1 from both sides

2c/3 > 6

multiply both sides by 3

2c > 18

divide both sides by 2

c > 9

The variables x and y vary directly. Use the given values to write an equation that relates x and y: x = 4, y = -16
Gnesinka [82]

Vary Directly: y = k*x

Vary Inversely:  y = k/x

Because x and y vary directly, our equation will look like the first one.

y = k*x

With the inputted values:

-16 = k * 4

Now, to find k, isolate the variable

k = -16/4 = -4

Your final equation will then look like this:

y = -4 * x

What is the GCF of 81 and 36?<br> What is the LCM of 4 and 9?
Mila [183]
The question "What is the LCM and GCF of 36 and 81?" can be split into two questions: "What is the LCM of 36 and 81?" and "What is the GCF of 36 and 81?"

In the question "What is the LCM and GCF of 36 and 81?", LCM is the abbreviation of Least Common Multiple and GCF is the abbreviation of Greatest Common Factor.

To find the LCM, we first list the multiples of 36 and 81 and then we find the smallest multiple they have in common. To find the multiples of any number, you simply multiply the number by 1, then by 2, then by 3 and so on. Here is the beginning list of multiples of 36 and 81:

Multiples of 36: 36, 72, 108, 144, 180, 216, etc.

Multiples of 81: 81, 162, 243, 324, 405, 486, etc.

The least multiple on the two lists that they have in common is the LCM of 36 and 81. Therefore, the LCM of 36 and 81 is 324.
