The ratio is 12 to 4. Substitute 4 as 20. 20 / 4 = 5, so multiply 12 by 5. 60 men are needed to run 20 machines.

3(2x+14)divided by w-y if w=8,x=5,y=1 how do i solve this
Viktor [21]
\frac{3 (2x + 14)}{w - y}
w = 8, x = 5, y = 1

You have to first substitute every variable into its spot in the equation.

<span>\frac{3 (2x + 14)}{w-y}
</span><span>\frac{3 (2*5 + 14)}{8 - 1}
</span>
Then solve.

\frac{3 (28)}{7} = \frac{84}{7} = 12
