The government will first tell the US people about what is going on and why we are going to war but also they will ask all of us young proud citizens to join the fight and enlist. The more people enlist the bigger our army is the better chance we have of winning. next, they will ask the media to help support the war by putting up advertisements about it and put it on the radio and TV. But also the government will take our freedom of speech away so that we don't riot and go against their decisions about the war.

The german use of __________ helped build public support for america's entry into world war i.
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:  submarine attacks

Context/detail:

Public outrage in the US against the Germans swept the nation following the sinking of the British ocean liner, Lusitania.  When a German U-boat (submarine) sank the Lusitania in May, 1915, over 1,000 persons were killed, including more than 100 Americans. The passenger liner was targeted by the Germans because they suspected weapons were being shipped to Britain in the cargo hold of the ship.

Germany managed to stave off American entry into the war at the time by pledging to stop submarine attacks.  But a couple years later they resumed such attacks, and there was also an intercepted telegram that showed Germany was trying to secure Mexico as an ally against the United States.  In 1917, the US declared war on Germany in response.

We learned that industrial production increased tremendously, bringing wealth and power to Great Britain throughout the 19th century. But we have yet to explore the effects of industrialization on society, on the daily living and the working conditions of common people. What was life like for the average industrial worker? Was living in a new industrial city and working in a factory an improvement over life in the countryside? Did the new factory life change for the better the roles of family members, including women and children? Were people healthier? In general, did the Industrial Revolution improve life for most people? To answer these questions, we’ll look at various primary source accounts to gather evidence from the people that actually lived through this time period.</span>
