First of all, x needs to be solved for-
-1/2x\geq4
Multiply both sides by -2
-1/2(-2)x\geq4(-2)
x\leq-8
The inequality sign means that-
x is equal to or less than -8.
If the arrow is pointing to the right, it means greater.  If it is pointing to the left it means that the value is less.  All these choices have closed circles to show that x can be equal to the value.

B. is the answer.  It shows that x is equal to or less than -8

GreenBeam Ltd. claims that its compact fluorescent bulbs average no more than 3.24 mg of mercury. A sample of 25 bulbs shows a m
amm1812

Answer:

Null hypothesis:\mu \leq 3.24

Alternative hypothesis:\mu > 3.24

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Previous concepts  and data given

A confidence interval is "a range of values that’s likely to include a population value with a certain degree of confidence. It is often expressed a % whereby a population means lies between an upper and lower interval".

The margin of error is the range of values below and above the sample statistic in a confidence interval.

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

A right tailed test (sometimes called an upper test) is when the alternative hypothesis statement contains a greater than (>) symbol.

\bar X=3.29 represent the sample mean

s represent the sample standard deviation

n represent the sample selected

\alpha significance level

State the null and alternative hypotheses.

We need to conduct a hypothesis in order to check if the mean for fluorescent bulbs is no more than 3.24 mg of mercury, the system of hypothesis would be:

Null hypothesis:\mu \leq 3.24

Alternative hypothesis:\mu > 3.24

IIf we know the population deviation we can apply a z test to compare the actual mean to the reference value, and the statistic is given by:

z=\frac{\bar X-\mu_o}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}  (1)

z-test: "Is used to compare group means. Is one of the most common tests and is used to determine if the mean is (higher, less or not equal) to an specified value".

What is the degree of the polynomial −14abc+2b2 ?
UkoKoshka [18]
When u have a polynomial with more then one variable....and this one has more then 1 variable, the degree is the sum of the exponents in each term....and the degree is the largest sum

-14abc...this term has a degree of 3
2b^2....this term has a degree of 2

so this polynomial has a degree of 3 <==

an office manager purchased 39 boxes of pens for the staff. each box contains 6 black pens and 4 blacks pens. Use the distribute
nignag [31]

Answer:

390 pens in total

Step-by-step explanation:

Each box has 6 black and 4 black

so the total amount of pens per box should be 10 because 6+4=10

Since we have to use distributive property you can write the equation (6+4)*39 because you need to figure out the total amount of pens in all the boxes.

6+4 is 10

and 10 * 39 is 390

therefore the answer is 390 pens in total
