Rhizoids absorb water and nutrients from the surrounding soil.

Explanation:

Rhizoids are primitive root like structure in lower plants like bryophytes and sin fungi. Rhizoids are usually unicellular. However many plants exhibit multicellularity. Rhizoids functions as the roots in these plant,by absorbing water and nutrient from the surrounding soil. They may contain enzymes which helps in extracellular digestion in orgsnidm which have saprotrophic mode of nutrition.Rhizoids provide a little anchorage to the substratum.

Function of rhizoids

Explanation:

Rhizoids absorb water and minerals from the surrounding soil

 • Rhizoids are simply the root hairs on the underside of the thallus especially in some mosses and liverworts which helps in support or absorption
 • Rhizoids originated from a single cell and helps in absorption of water between threads in a process called capillary action;they are involved in the uptake and transport of water from the substrate in case of liverworts
 • Rhizoids of some species(like Chara) contain a higher concentration of mineral nutrients and take up nitrate, ammonia and phosphates from sediments
 • They also form mycorrhiza like association with fungi which helps in increasing the uptake of nutrients from the soil

A molecule that has regions of partial positive and partial negative charge
nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

A) polar

Explanation:

Polar molecules contains partial positive and partial negative charge as in all polar molecules two atoms have unequal sharing electron. Due to unequal sharing of electrons, one atom that attracts valence electrons strongly gains positive charge and other gain negative charge.

For example water, water is a polar molecule having partial negative and partial positive charge because the oxygen atom in water attracts electrons more strongly than the hydrogen atoms.

Hence, the correct answer is "A) polar".
