So, we have the percentage she gets which is, 90% and the number of questions she answers correctly, which is 27

To find the number of questions in the exam, make an equation
(90% = \frac{90}{100} = 0.9)
\frac{90}{100} = \frac{27}{x}
cross multiply and equate them
90x = 27 x 100
90x = 2700
divide by 90 on either sides to isolate x in order to find the answer
\frac{90x}{90} =  \frac{2700}{90}
90 and 90 cancels out
x = 30
So your final answer will be, there were 30 questions in the exam paper.

Which expression is equal to ? 8 5 A. 5 8 B. 8 • 8 • 8 • 8 • 8 C. 5 • 5 • 5 • 5 • 5 • 5 • 5 • 5 D. 40
Gnesinka [82]

Answer:

B. 8 • 8 • 8 • 8 • 8

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm gonna assume you meant 8 to the 5th power, or 8^5.

Step 1: <u>Define and explain.</u>

Remember: exponents are simply repeated multiplication.

Exponents tell you how many times to multiply the base number by itself.

---------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------

Step 2: <u>Solve.</u>

base-8

exponent-5

8^5=8*8*8*8*8

Step 3: <u>Conclude.</u>

Therefore, 8^5 is the same as 8*8*8*8*8.

Tell if the measures 6, 14, and 13 make a triangle that is acute, right, or obtuse.
ycow [4]

Right angle - c²=a²+b²

Obtuse angle - c²>a²+b²

Acute angle - c²<a²+b²

To see which ones go into a, b, and c, know that the largest number is the hypotenuse (variable c). The other two letters can be either a or b, so it doesn't matter which place they are put it because you will get the same answer.

right angle 14²=6²+13²

196=36+169

196≠205

-----------------------

obtuse angle 14²>6²+13²

196>36+169

196>205 is false

-----------------------

So since it is not a right angle or an obtuse angle, that means that it's a right angle because it's the only option left. Though we now know that's the answer, I will still put down the steps.

acute angle 14²<6²+13²

196<36+169

196<205 is true so it's an acute triangle.

Hope this helps, now you know the answer and how to do it. Stay safe and healthy and HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! :-)
