Answer:

The things needed to be checked before the cell moves through the stages of mitosis are 1 DNA of cell undergoing mitosis 2 chromosome number of the cell moving through the stages of mitosis,3 Amount of RNA and protein present in the cell undergoing division.

Explanation:

DNA of the cell undergoing mitosis

It is very important thing to note that cell cycle regulatory mechanism should check that the cell undergoing mitosis should have normal DNA.Cells with damaged DNA are restricted to enter mitotic phase.

Chromosome number of the cell

The most thing of the interphase regulation to  check that DNA has replicated once per cycle .This is very very important thing to maintain normal chromosome number of the cell entering mitosis.

Amount of RNA and proteins synthesized

The G1 and G2 phase of the cell cycle helps in the synthesis of RNA and protein molecules.Significant amount  proteins should be present in the cell undergoing mitosis.

The sliding filament model of contraction involves ________.
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

A) action and myosin sliding past each other and partially overlapping

Explanation:

The muscle contraction occurs by the interaction between two protein filaments in sarcomeres (actin and myosin). During this process there is a “shortening” of the sarcomere, caused not by changing the length of the actin and myosin filaments, but by overlapping these filaments,

What evolutionary advantage does compartmentalization of core metabolic processes offer eukaryotes?
Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

Compartmentalization increases the efficiency of the process of cellular respiration, leading to higher energy production (ATP).

Explanation:

In biology, compartmentalization refers to the formation of separate areas within the cell in order to carry out specific cellular functions more efficiently. In a cell, these compartments are usually delimited by lipid layer membranes. In eukaryotic cells, mitochondria (and also chloroplasts in plants) are the most important compartments in terms of metabolic processes. These organelles function to generate energy in the form of ATP by the process of cellular respiration. From an evolutionary perspective, compartmentalization increases the surface area that mitochondria use to generate energy ATP and provides a unique internal medium to carry out these metabolic reactions since oxidative phosphorylation, which the most important process in terms of energy generation, occurs in the mitochondrial matrix.

XYZeq: Spatially resolved single-cell RNA sequencing reveals expression heterogeneity in the tumor microenvironment.
Otrada [13]

Different cell types were found in the tumor and murine liver using XYZeq.

Tumor:

  • The extraordinary variability of cell kinds and states in tissues has been shown by single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), but it does not offer information about the spatial organization of cells. We created XYZeq, a technique that embeds spatial metadata into scRNA-seq libraries, to better understand how individual cells behave within an anatomical area. Tens of thousands of cells' spatially barcoded transcriptomes were collected using XYZeq to profile mouse tumor types. In tumor-associated mesenchymal stem cells, analyses of these data revealed the geographic distribution of several cell types and a cell migration-associated transcriptome program (MSCs). The MSCs' localized expression of tumor suppressor genes, which varies with proximity to the tumor core, is another finding. We show that the spatial localization of the transcriptome and XYZeq can be mapped.
  • A tumor is a mass of tissue that forms inappropriately when cells either enlarge and divide more frequently than they ought to or do not die as expected. Tumors without cancer may be benign or malignant (cancer).
