DNA replication

Biology
1 answer:
Luda [366]3 years ago
8 0

Answer:

d

Explanation:

The mechanism of DNA replication is semi-conservative. The two DNA strands are held together by hydrogen bonds between the nitrogen bases of the anti-parallel strands. During replication enzymes like helicase, topoisomerase and SSB protein break the hydrogen bonds for a short period. During that period, RNA primers from cytoplasm pair with each strand to give rise to two daughter DNA.

So a daughter DNA has one strand from the parent DNA and one new strand from the RNA primer.
