However, his elegant physical expressions are not compatible with his personality. St.Clare doesn't attain the same characteristics in his personality. He is lazy, laid-back an indulgent. His laid-back attitude prevents him to see the right from wrong as he doesn't want to understand and doesn't want to accept that the slavery is wrong. But he can also be someone different in serious matters and can put his passion into this as the description of his character shows.
