The correct answer is alternative B: The Twenty-sixth Amendment.

The Twenty-sixth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits the States and the Federal Government from denying citizens at the age of 18 or older the right to vote based on age.

Because of this, the number of demographics eligible to vote increased, since the minimum age required to vote was reduced.

The correct option is (B). Twenty-sixth Amendment of legislation increased the number of demographics eligible to vote by decreasing the required voting age to 18.

Further Explanation:

Twenty-sixth Amendment:

According to the Twenty-sixth Amendment of US law, any state in the country should not prohibit the voting rights of the individuals until unless their age is below 18 years. This amendment has two sections:

Section 1: The state government should not deny the right of the citizens to vote, who are 18 years old or older.

Section 2: Government has the right to enforce the amendment by law.

Thus, the Twenty-sixth Amendment decreased the required voting age to 18.

Justification for the correct and incorrect option:

A.

Fifteenth Amendment: This is an incorrect option.

This amendment states that the state government should not deny voting rights based on race and color.

B.

Twenty-sixth Amendment: This is the correct option.

It states that the state government should not deny the voting rights of the citizen, who are 18 years old or older.

C.

Nineteenth Amendment: This is an incorrect option.

It states that the state government should not deny the voting rights of the citizen on the basis of gender.

D.

Voting Rights Act: This is an incorrect option.

This act denies the racial discrimination in the voting system of the country.

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not attach the map. Without the map, we do not know what is its content. Just you know.

However, trying to help you, we can comment on the following based on our knowledge of the topic.

The region where the Underground Railroad maintained safe houses was Michigan.

Let's remember that the Underground Railroad was not a railroad per se, but a group of people that helped crossed the southern lines to the Northern states, so slaves could escape from the tyranny of the owners of the large plantations of the South. It was the Quakers in the 1800s who started to form this group and helped slaves to escape.

On the other hand, Dred and Harriet Scott were two black slaves that sued for their liberty in the 1840s, claiming they had lived in a free territory. The Supreme Court decision or better known as the Dred Scott decision infuriated many people in the North and was one of the reasons for the beginning of the American Civil War.

How did Santa Anna attempt to escape capture after the Battle of San Jacinto?
sergiy2304 [10]

Answer:

Santa Ana was caught on April 22, 1836 (the day after the Battle of San Jacinto). At the beginning of the battle he had disappeared on a horse and was found in the grass dressed as a common soldier. Some people say he was dressed as a woman however this is believed to be a myth. He was brought to Sam Houston, the leader of the Texas military, who had been injured in the ankle by a musket ball. Many Texans wished to see him hanged after what he did at the Alamo and Goliad (there were no Texan survivors at these). Houston decided he should be kept alive so he could sign the Treaties at Velasco, the treaties that would give Texas freedom from Mexico. These treaties also granted Santa Anna life. Because the Texans were so hungry for revenge, Santa Ana was released in the United States. Years later, while Texas was seeking annexation to the United States, Santa Anna became the dictator of Mexico again. He attempted to take Texas back (as Mexico renounced the Treaties at Velasco) however he was unsuccessful. He died in Mexico City, June 21, 1876.
