Firstly, you can use the slope and the first point to find a second point:
2 + 1 = x2 and 6 + 5 = y2 because the slope is 5/1.
Next you can write the equation in point-slope form (remember point-slope form is y - y1 = m(x - x1):
y - 11 = 5(x - 3)
Another equation would be B because B is the correct equation if you choose 2 as x2 and 6 as y2.
Hope this helps!

Which of the following are true statements?
MArishka [77]

Answer: Option A and Option B.

Step-by-step explanation:

You need to remember the logarithms properties:

log(a)+log(b)=log(ab)\\\\log(a)-log(b)=log(\frac{a}{b})\\\\log(a)^b=b*log(a)

You can observe in Option A:

logM^p=p*logM (This is true)

You can observe in Option B:

logM+logN=log(MN) (This is true)

You can observe in Option C:

logM-logN=log(M-N) (This is not true)

You can observe in Option D:

(logM)^p=p*logM (This is not true)

Given the quadratic equation below, determine which situation it could represent. x^2-4x=60
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

C.  In a meeting room for a business event, there are 4 fewer chairs laid out in each row than the number of rows. The total number of chairs in the room is 60.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the total number of chars, we multiply the number of rows by the number of chairs in each row.

Let the number of rows be x.  There are 4 fewer chairs in each row than the number of rows; this gives us (x-4).  Together, this gives us

x(x-4).

We know there are 60 chairs; this gives us

x(x-4) = 60

Using the distributive property,

x(x)-4(x) = 60

x²-4x = 60

If you read 373 words per minute how many words do you read per second?
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:

About 6 words per second

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to divide 373 words by 60 seconds giving you 6.21666667 which you then have to round down to 6 words per second.

A rectangular plot of ground is 5 meters longer than it is wide, It’s area is 20,000 square meters
Artyom0805 [142]
I'm assuming you're looking for the dimensions of the plot.  I'm going with that.  ;)  If the length of the plot is 5 meters longer than the width, then L = w + 5.  The area for a rectangle is L*w, and we have an area value of 20,000 so our formula is 20000=(w+5)(w) and 20,000=w^2+5w.  We will bring the 20,000 over by subtraction and set the polynomial equal to 0 to factor and solve for w.  w^2+5w-20,000=0  Solving for w we get values of w=138.9 and -143.9.  Of course the 2 things in math that will never EVER be negative are time and distance/length, so -143.9 is out.  Our width is 138.9 and the length is 138.9 + 5 so the length is 143.9.  And there you go!  Hope that's what you needed!

A prop for the theater club’s play is constructed as a cone topped with a half- sphere. What is the volume of the prop? Round yo
san4es73 [151]

The volume of the prop is calculated to be 1,875.6 cubic cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1; The prop consists of a cone and a half-sphere on top. We will have to calculate the volumes of the cone and the half-sphere separately and then add them to obtain the total volume.

Step 2; The volume of a cone is determined by multiplying \frac{1}{3} with π, the square of the radius (r²) and height (h). Here we substitute π as 3.14. The radius is 8 cm and the height is 12 cm.

The volume of the cone = \frac{1}{3} × 3.14 × 8 × 8 × 12 = 803.84 cubic cm.

Step 3; The area of a half-sphere is half of a full sphere. The volume of a sphere is given by multiplying \frac{4}{3} with π and the cube of the radius (r³). Here the radius is 8cm. We take π as 3.14.

The volume of a full sphere = \frac{4}{3} × 3.14 × r³ = \frac{4}{3} × π × 8³ = 2,143.5733 cubic cm.

The volume of a half-sphere = \frac{ 2,143.5733}{2} = 1,071.7866 cubic cm.

Step 4; The total volume = The volume of the cone + The volume of the half sphere,

The total volume = 803.84 cubic cm + 1,071.7866 cubic cm = 1,875.6266 cubic cm. By rounding this off to the nearest tenth we get 1,875.6 cubic cm.
