Answer: they have to sell 880 books to break even.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the total number of books that Richmond high school produced and also sold.

Richmond high school is paying $13,200 for the writing and research of their yearbook plus a printing fee of $25 per book. This means that the total cost of producing x books would be

25x + 13200

if they sell the books at $40 each, it means that the total revenue would be

40 × x = 40x

The break even point is the point at which income equals expenses expenses. Therefore,

25x + 13200 = 40x

40x - 25x = 13200

15x = 13200

x = 13200/15

x = 880

A circular pool with a diameter of 18 ft will have a uniform 4 ft concrete walkway poured around it. If the concrete cost $4.25
tino4ka555 [31]
Diameter = 18 ft.
Radius = 18/2 = 9 ft.

Area for walkway around the circular pool =
Area of R (R = 9+4 ft.) - Area of Pool (r = 9 ft.)

πR² - πr²
π(R²-r²)
π(13²-9²)
π(169-81)
π(88)

Now,
1 sq. foot = $ 4.25
π(88) sq. foot = \frac{22}{7} \times 88 \times 4.25 = 1175.42

So, Answer will be B. $1174.70 because of the closeness to our answer.

 Amy's car holds at most 19 gallons of gas. Now it has 9 gallons. Use pencil and paper. Explain how to find the amount of gas s
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

10 gallons

Step-by-step explanation:

Amy's car's maximum capacity to hold gas = 19 gallons

present amount of gas  = 9 gallons

As the car's capacity is 19 gallons and present amount in tank is 9 gallons, so we can fill it as much as so that the amount in tank becomes 19 gallons.

let assume she fills x gallons

then x gallons and 9 gallons present earlier should be equal to 19 gallon, as the tank can not hold more than that.

lets write it mathematically

x + 9 = 19

subtracting 9 from both side

x + 9 - 9 = 19 - 9

=> x = 10

Thus, 10 gallons of gas is needed to fill the gas tank.

Samantha puts an initial $500 into a savings account. The account has a 4% annual compound interest rate. What is the function t
Licemer1 [7]
I use a bit of a different looking formula.

A(t)=P(1+r/n)^nt

P=amount of money. (500)
r= rate (in decimal. 4%=0.04)
n=number of times per year (1 in this problem)
t=amount of time. (5 years)

Plugged in it looks like this:

A(t)=500 (1+ 0.04/1)^1x5

Then I put it into my calculator like this:

0.04/1+ 0.04

Then add one to the above answer:

0.04+1=1.04

Then raise the above answer to the 1x5:

1.04^5=1.2166......

Then multiply the above answer by 500:

1.2166.... x 500=608.3264512

She has $608 after 5 years.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.
