Set up a triangle with the ladder being the hypotenuse the wall being one side and the distance away being the other side. Now use pythagorean theorem a^2+b^2=c^2
4^2+15^2=c^2
16+225=c^2
241=c^2
C=15.52 now round
C=15.5 feet

Simplify and explain your answer 4/7+2/5(1/5+1/10)
muminat
\frac{4}{7}+\frac{2}{5}\cdot(\frac{1}{5}+\frac{1}{10})=\frac{4}{7}+\frac{2}{5}\cdot(\frac{2}{10}+\frac{1}{10})=\frac{4}{7}+\frac{2}{5}\cdot\frac{3}{10}=\frac{4}{7}+\frac{1}{5}\cdot\frac{3}{5}\\\\=\frac{4}{7}+\frac{6}{25}=\frac{4\cdot25}{7\cdot25}+\frac{6\cdot7}{25\cdot7}=\frac{100}{175}+\frac{42}{175}=\frac{142}{175}

r is radius
h is height

Put in the values you know

\pi * 5^{2} *10

square the 5

\pi *25*10

Multiply the 10 and 25
