So in similar triangles the angles are the same, only the side lengths change so you have to use ratios to find this:
18:22
This is the ratio but it needs to be simplified.
Divide each side by 18 so that the right side is one:
1:1 2/9
now we use this ratio with 12cm where 12 is on the right. You multiply both sides by 12 and it becomes:
12:14 24/9
or
12:16 6/9
or
12:16 2/3
Therefore the base of the second triangle is 16 2/3 cm

Hope this helps :)

Write an equation in a point-slope form that passes through the given point with the given slope (3, 5), m = -4 and-1, 8), m = ½
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

\large\boxed{y-5=-4(x-3)}\\\boxed{y-8=\dfrac{1}{2}(x+1)}

Step-by-step explanation:

The point-slope form of an equation of a line:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

m=-4,\ (3,\ 5)\\\\y-5=-4(x-3)

m=\dfrac{1}{2},\ (-1,\ 8)\\\\y-8=\dfrac{1}{2}(x-(-1))\\\\y-8=\dfrac{1}{2}(x+1)

Semenov [28]

Answer:

13.375 times

Step-by-step explanation:

1,070,000 times 2=2,140,000. 2,140,000 divided by 160,000=13.375.
