Answer:

For (45,165.02) Latitude and longitude is (45 0' 0",165 1' 12")

Hence latitude and longitude  are 4 degrees 35' 59.94" and 2 degrees 47' 59.994 "

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The angular coordinates  of the point on globe as (θ,∅)=(π/4,11π/12)

To find : longitude and latitude for this points:

Solution:

For finding this Longitude and latitude we should convert it into decimal degrees

Given that 1rad =57.295 deg.

we get for

θ=π/4

=3.142/4

=0.7855 *57.295

=45 degrees.

Now for φ=11π/12

=(11*3.142)/12=2.8801*57.295

=165.02 degrees

Now convert in longitude and latitude as ,

as degrees +min/60+seconds/3600

Now latitude =45 degrees

i.e. 45 degrees 0' 0"

And longitude as

165.02 degrees becomes

165 degrees 1' 12".

Hence For the angular co-ordinates (45,165.02)

Longitude and latitude is (45 0' 0",165 1' 12")

Now for the (4.6, 2.8)

we get using same

degrees+min/60+seconds/3600

=4 degrees 35' 59.94"

And for 2.8 means,  (similar to clock analog )

=2 degrees  47' 59.94"

Hence latitude and longitude  are 4 degrees 35' 59.94" and 2 degrees 47' 59.994 "

What are the possible rational zeros of f(x) = x4 + 6x3 − 3x2 + 17x − 15?
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Consider the polynomial f(x) = x^4 + 6x^3 - 3x^2 + 17x- 15.

The rational zeros could be only of form c/d, where c is integer number among divisors of the last term (-15) and d is integer number among divisors of the first term (1).

The divisors of -15 are: \pm 1, \pm 3, \pm 5, \pm 15.

The divisors of 1 are: \pm 1.

Possible rational zeros: \pm 1, \pm 3, \pm 5, \pm 15.

Check them:

f(1)=1^4 + 6\cdot 1^3 - 3\cdot 1^2 + 17\cdot 1- 15=1+6-3+17-15=6\neq 0;

f(-1)=(-1)^4 + 6\cdot (-1)^3 - 3\cdot (-1)^2 + 17\cdot (-1)- 15=1-6-3-17-15=-40\neq 0;

f(3)=3^4 + 6\cdot 3^3 - 3\cdot 3^2 + 17\cdot 3- 15=81+162-27+51-15=252\neq 0;

f(-3)=(-3)^4 + 6\cdot (-3)^3 - 3\cdot (-3)^2 + 17\cdot (-3)- 15=81-162-27-51-15=-174\neq 0;

f(5)=5^4 + 6\cdot 5^3 - 3\cdot 5^2 + 17\cdot 5- 15=625+750-75+85-15=1370\neq 0;

f(-5)=(-5)^4 + 6\cdot (-5)^3 - 3\cdot (-5)^2 + 17\cdot (-5)- 15=625-750-75-85-15=-300\neq 0;

f(15)=15^4 + 6\cdot 15^3 - 3\cdot 15^2 + 17\cdot 15- 15=50625+20250-675+255-15=70440\neq 0;

f(-15)=(-15)^4 + 6\cdot (-15)^3 - 3\cdot (-15)^2 + 17\cdot (-15)- 15=50625-20250-675-255-15=29430\neq 0.

There are no rational zeros.

Which equation can be used to solve for y-value of the solution in the system of linear equations below?
polet [3.4K]

The value of y is (-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve the linear equation, Number of unknown variables and number of equations must be same.

In given equation,

-6x+4y=-62    Equation 1

-3x-5y=-17      Equation 2

The number of Variable are 2,

So, To solve for value of y, we need to make use of two given equation and it can't be found from one single equation

Let multiply Equation 2 with 2 units

we get, -6x-10y=-34

Now, Subtracting both the equations

(-6x+4y)-(-6x-10y)=(-62)-(-34)

4y+10y=(-28)

14y=(-28)

y=(-2)

Therefore, the value of y is (-2)
