Answer: Congress of Vienna (1814-1815) aimed re-establishment of pre-1789 order in Europe. It meant especially return of overthroned dynasties to European monarchies (principle of legitimacy). Bourbons were coming back to France, Spain, Naples etc.

Explanation: Congress of Vienna was organized by count Metternich (Austrian chancellor) and initiated so-called "congress politics"....congresses regullarly took place when this Vienna´s order was threatened. This was the policy of Saint Alliance. This order lasted till 1830 (July Revolution in Paris that dethroned last Bourbon, Charles X), then it was significantly weakened. What land did israel gain from the wars against its arab neighbors?
jeyben [28]
Initially, in the 1948 war for its own independence, Israel secured the territory that the United Nations had proposed as land for a Jewish state.

In the Six Day War of 1967, Israel gained control of the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula in defeating Egypt.  The Sinai eventually was returned to Egypt.  Gaza became an occupied territory, with the Israeli military supervising the Palestinian-populated region, until 2005 when Israeli Defense Forces withdrew from Gaza.  (Now Israel enforces blockades against the Gaza region.)

Also in the Six Day War, Israel gained control of the West Bank, which continues to have an Israeli presence in it as well as a Palestinian government.

And in the Six Day War, Israel gained control of two-thirds of the Golan Heights region overlooking Lake Tiberias, which Israel continues to occupy, citing security concerns in protecting itself.

What impact does the Supreme Court have on the daily lives of Americans?
Mkey [24]

Answer:

The rhythms of daily life for ordinary Americans may seem far removed from the rarified world of the U.S. Supreme Court.

But from the time people roll out of bed in the morning until they turn in at night, the court's rulings are woven into their lives in ways large and small.

So pay attention as Congress prepares to take up the nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to join the high court: The influence of the court's nine justices is hard to overstate — even if Justice Stephen Breyer once noted that their names are less well known than those of the Three Stooges.

"From the air you breathe and the water you drink to the roof over your head and the person across from you in bed, the Supreme Court touches all of that," says Elizabeth Wydra, president of the Constitutional Accountability Center.

What role did the United States play in the Vietnam War? A) The U.S. did not get involved, as they wanted to remain on good term
Alex787 [66]
The US role played in the Vietnam War was C. The US became involved because they feared that other countries would fall to communism like dominoes. The Vietnam War was the longest war fought by the US in its history until the War in Afghanistan surpassed it recently. Involvement began slowly at first but gradually ramped up resulting in a widespread feeling of war weariness in the US where activists began to actively oppose war efforts and speak out against involvement on the whole.
