Perimeter = 2L + 2W  = 48                    WHERE L=length and W=width

The length must be longer than the width so im going to say that L = W + 5

so the equation is

2(W + 5)  + 2W = 48

2W + 2W + 10 = 48

4W = 38

W = 38/4 = 9.5 ins and

length = 5+9.5 = 14.5 ins

Find the Domain and Range of the following: (6.-1) (-2.2) (18,-1) (-2,3) Domain: Range: Is this relation a function?
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

Domain: {-2,6,18}

Range: {-1,2,3}

This relation is not a function.

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain is all of the x values given listed in order from least to greatest and not repeating any numbers. The range is the same thing, but with the y values given. This is not a function because multiple ordered pairs have more than one output for the input. Let's take -2 in these ordered pairs. It has two different outputs, 3 and 2. Because of this, it is not a function.

Hope this helps!!

What value of x gives y=-2?<br><br> plz help !
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

-1

Step-by-step explanation:

to find x, use the following formula:

y = mx + b

(y = 0)

(m = change in y-value ... which is 2)

(x = change in x-value ... which is 2)

(b = y-axis ... which is -2)

y = mx + b

y = \frac{2}{2} + -2

\frac{2}{2} = 1

y = 1 + -2

y = -1

The sphere's radius is half the radius of the hemisphere. How does the volume of this hemisphere compare with the volume of the
Trava [24]

Answer:

Radius of the sphere = r

<u>Volume of sphere:</u>

  • V₁ = 4/3×πr³

Radius of the hemisphere = 2r

<u>Volume of the hemisphere:</u>

  • V₂ = 1/2×4/3×π(2r)³ = 1/2×8×4/3πr³ = 4V₁

The volume of the hemisphere is 4 times greater than the volume of the sphere
