Bart believes that mice exposed to radiowaves will become extra strong (maybe he's been reading too much Radioactive Man). He de

cides to perform this experiment by placing 10 mice near a radio for 5 hours. He compared these 10 mice to another 10 mice that had not been exposed. His test consisted of a heavy block of wood that blocked the mouse food. he found that 8 out of 10 of the radiowaved mice were able to push the block away. 7 out of 10 of the other mice were able to do the same. Identify the:___________-
1. Control Group
2. Independent (Manipulated) Variable
3. Dependent (Responding) Variable
4. What should Bart's conclusion be?
5. How could Bart's experiment be improved?

1) Mice not radio waved.

2) Radio

3) Strength of mice

4) Maybe inconclusive.

5) Improves strength

Explanation:

 1. Control Group - Mice not radio waved.
 2. Independent Variable - radio.
 3. Dependent Variable - Strength of mice.
 4. What should Bart's conclusion be? Maybe inconclusive.
 5. How could Bart's experiment be improved? Improves strength

Experimental setup

setup that is testing a hypothesis using a variable. In most cases only one variable should be tested at a time.

Control Setup

setup that is identical to the experimental setup, only it does not contain a variable.

Independent Variable

The one factor that is change by the person doing the experiment

Dependent Variable

The factor which is measured in the experiment

Constant

all the factor that stay the same in an experiment.

observations made of bacteria culture once a week over a month period is an example of what type of information
xz_007 [3.2K]

There are three different types of observation methods for the purpose of research. These three methods include the structured observation, participant observation, and the field experiments.

The structured observation is the method of data collection which is done without the direct involvement of the researcher with the participants. the participant observation is the type of observation which is used in the experiments involving qualitative research. The field experiment is the method of observation when the experiment rules are applied in the real world.

Among the given three types of observations, the structured observation is the type of observation that is used while observing the bacteria once a week for a period of a month.

Hence, the answer is structured observation.

A monophyletic clade:_______.
Rudik [331]

Answer: Option C. consists of ancestor species and all of its descendants groups.

Explanation:

Monophyletic clade refers to a group composed of a collection of organisms, including the most recent common ancestor of all those organisms and all the descendants of that most recent common ancestor.

A monophyletic clade is also called a taxon. By classifying organisms based on their biological diversity and evolutionary history, we can easily know, how different organisms, both past and present, are related to one another. Examples of monophyletic groups include: Mammals, birds, angiosperms, and insects.

In active transport what way do molecules move? Is energy used?
n200080 [17]

Active transport uses cellular energy to move molecules based on the concentration level and Passive transport doesn't require energy to move molecules within their cells.

EXPLANATION:

Active transport uses cellular energy for this movement. It uses energy stored in ATP to begin the transport. This means that the molecules transfer from an area where it is less in number to an area with a high concentration of molecules.

But Passive transport specifies the movement of molecules across cell membranes which doesn't require energy as it depends on the cell membrane's penetrability. Molecules just have to circulate in or out of the cell.
