Since we don't have the available answers, let's see what were the main causes of the Dust Bowl devastation:

I) Mechanization of agricultural operations. Because of World War I efforts food production had to grow which increased wheat prices. This caused an enormous increase in the size of farms and in the rhythm and size of their crops that weren't accompanied by adequate care of the soil.

II) Farming in the Great Plains. Because of several federal land acts since the 19th century, many farmers were settling in the plains believing rain would come once farming started. This and the belief in Manifest Destiny made people farm in regions where irrigation couldn't reach.

III) The Great Depression. In order to compensate for the decreasing wheat prices, farmers tried to plow up even more land and harvest bigger crops. This led to the plowing of native grassland that kept the soil stable.

IV) Drought. In 1931 started a drought caused by a lack of rain that would end only in 1939. This killed the crops and left the soil exposed. Without grassland and with the winds the soil was blown away in dust storms.

The Gilded Age Overview
What are 3-5 things that were unique to life out West?
padilas [110]

Answer:

The ettlement in the western United States

Native Americans sent to reservations

The foundation of the Populist Party

Explanation:

The construction of the Transcontinental Railroad, as well as the discovery of gold, silver, and copper in many western states, led to the rapid settlement of the western United States. By 1890, 430 million acres in the Far West were settled, much more than the previous 250 years.

After 30 years of war, 250,000 Native Americans who lived on the Great Plains were enclosed in reservations to allow the westward settlement.

The Populist Party was founded with the support of western farmers affected by the depression that arose in rural America who wanted a political voice against the railroad tycoons.

The U. S. and South Korea not only have a strong trade relationship. South Korea is a key U.S. ally in the region, threatened by the presence of North Korea and its military warnings and the suspicion of nuclear bomb armament.

The relationship of the United States and South Korea surpasses the commerce and has meant stability in the zone. Both countries have agreements in other areas of cooperation.

What is the name generally given to a judicial decision that is made to advance the interests of one of the political parties?
Marrrta [24]

Answer: Partisanship

Explanation:

Partisanship refers to political decisions made to favor the policy maker´s party-preferred ideological orientation. When it comes to judicial decisions, a judge becomes a partisan when his rulings are meant to promote the interests of the political party he favors.

Despite the legal model holding to the idea that judicial impartiality forbids any partisan loyalties, partisanship still exists.
