We start by using the distributive property to expand the terms 5(a-1) and 3(a+2). When we do, we obtain 5a-5 and 3a+6.

Putting those back into our equation, we have:

5a-5-15=3a+6+4

Next, we combine all of the constants on either side:

5a-20=3a+10

Finally, we want to get the variable a by itself on one side of the equation, so we perform the following steps to isolate it:

5a=3a+30 (Add 20 to both sides)
2a=30 (Subtract 3a from both sides)
a=30/2=15 (Divide both sides by 2 to isolate a)

So, we obtain our answer of a=15.

5(a-1) - 15 = 3(a+2) + 4
Open all parenthesis and distribute
5a - 5 - 15 = 3a + 6 + 4
Simplify
5a - 20 = 3a + 10
Add both sides by 20 and subtract both sides by 3a
2a = 30
a = 15

The area of a parallelogram is 49.7 cm 2 , and the base of the parallelogram is 3.5 cm. What is the height of the parallelogram
brilliants [131]

Answer:

14.2 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

A parallelogram is a quadrilateral (a four sided object) with parallel sides

Some of the characteristics of a parallelogram includes :

1. Opposite sides  and angles are congruent .

2. Opposite angels are congruent

3. Consecutive angles are supplementary

4. The diagonals bisect each other

Area of a parallelogram = base x height

49.7 = 3.5 x height

height = 49.7 / 3.5 = 14.2 cm

My number is a perfect square the only prime number in its prime factorization is 2
Semenov [28]
I think the number would be 256 because

256 :
128*2
64*2
32*2
16*2
8*2
4*2
2*2

secondly if u divide 256 by 32 it gives 8 so it's a factor of 32

and lastly 2+5+6 = 13 which is an odd number

hope this helps!
