Answer:

B. R is dominant to r, and Rr individuals are red.

Explanation:

In genetics the dominant allele is represented by the uppercase letter and the recessive allele is represented by the lower case letter. A dominant allele always shows its dominance over the recessive allele. So in heterozygous condition dominant allele will reflects itself in the phenotype.

Here allele of red color allele is in capital letter and alleles of green color are shown in lower case which means R allele is the dominant allele and r is the recessive allele. Therefore R is dominant to r and in homozygous condition(Rr) red individual will be formed. So the right answer is B.

what is the difference in the amount of genetic information found in a gamete compared to other cells in the body?
natita [175]

Explanation:

Body cells make up the body of any multicellular organism. A body cell contains a complete number of chromosomes and is called a diploid cell while a gamete contains only half the number of chromosomes of its parent cell, and it is called a haploid cell.

Explain three differences between apomictic and automictic parthenogenesis.
a_sh-v [17]
Apomictic refers to plants and it means the offspring is genetically identical to the parent. Automictic means that gametes fuse after meiosis - which means offspring are genetically not identical to parents.

Construct an argumentative paragraph. Do you believe it's ethical or unethical to artificially select traits in plants and or an
blondinia [14]

Answer:

The ethics of artificially inserting traits in animals has been in the practice for years in the form of selective breeding, but should scientists really be editing DNA to the extent they are today? I don't believe they should. Life itself should construct itself without us interfering. Making a brand new plant just because it looks nice doesn't account for many factors, including the fact that it could be harmful to nearby plants if pollinated. In addition, generic engineering costs quite a lot of money, which should be used on other more cost effective methods, such as improving agriculture rather than creating a whole new plant that could harm entire crops. Genetic engineering isn't a necessity and humans should not play God with plant and animal life.
