Why do tobacco try to quit the habit

Health

Because it has many different negative affects. Smoking can cause heart problems, respiratory problems, chronic cough, yellow teeth, mouth and lung cancer and has so many carcinogens you ingest. Dipping (smokeless tobacco) causes gums to recede, yellow teeth, mouth ulcers, and hasn't been proven yet but it could cause mouth cancer buts its very unlikely to happen. Still both are nasty habits and it would highly benefit someone to quit. People use nicotine gum, nicotine patches, chantix and other things to quit. People who use smokeless tobacco also buy nicotine and tobacco free flavored dip to help them quit. It doesn't have the harmful ingredients regular dip has. Smokeless tobacco users also often buy "coffee chew" to help them kick the tobacco addiction while still having something in their lip and the coffee gives them energy

An IV fluid contains 75mg of drug B in a 1000ml of the iV fluid if the patient needs 300mg of this medication how much of this I
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

Amount = 4000mL

Explanation:

Given

IV\ Fluid = 75mg\ of\ 1000mL

Required

Determine the infusion to give a patient that needs 300mg

First, we need to calculate the infusion rate

Infusion\ Rate = \frac{1000mL}{75mg}

Infusion\ Rate = \frac{40}{3}mL/mg

Next, we calculate the required amount for 300mg.

Amount = Infusion\ Rate * 300mg

Amount = \frac{40}{3}mL/mg * 300mg

Amount = \frac{40}{3}mL * 300

Amount = \frac{40* 300}{3}mL

Amount = 40* 100mL

Amount = 4000mL

<em>Hence, the patient will be given 4000mL</em>

Scenario: Lucille Cloyd is an 83-year-old patient who has been diagnosed with heart disease and is seeing Dr. Neill for treatmen
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

- Communication barriers: patient's condition, competing demands, lack of privacy

- Effective communication can be achieved by having patience, showing respect, waiting for the patient to finish speaking, using clear and sincere language

- Good therapeutic communication skills can be developed by building trust and understanding with patients

Explanation:

Patient's condition (e.g., his/her pain and anxiety level), competing demands and lack of privacy represent potential barriers to overcome in order to achieve an effective communication between healthcare workers and their patients. Effective communication between health professionals and patients is fundamental to provide efficient medical treatments and a basic aspect of patient safety. Effective communication is based on a series of principles: 1-it is imperative to have patience with the patient and his/her family; 2-always show respect for his/her beliefs and decisions (even if you do not share his/her views ); 3-waiting for the other person to finish speaking or responding/asking questions; 4-using clear and sincere language, etc. Therapeutic communication skills can be developed by prioritizing patients' needs (i.e., physical, mental, and emotional well-being of patients). Some good practices include answer all questions, repeat information when necessary, and use deliberate silence to help patients to solve their problems on their own.
