The bond between CH2 and P of phosphate through O is called phosphoester bond. Only one such bond is present in both AMP and ADP.Link of phosphate groups through O by elimination of water molecule is called phosphoanhydride bond.In AMP, only single phosphate group present so no phosphoanhydride bond is present. But inADP, two phosphate groups are linked by one phospoanhydride bond.AMP 1 0ADP 1 1

Answer: The correct answer is -

The number of phosphoester bond in-

AMP (adenosine monophosphate) = 1

ADP ( adenosine diphosphate) = 1

The number of phosphoanhydride bonds in -

AMP = 0

ADP = 1

Phosphoester bond is formed when the alpha phosphate (that is the first phosphate) present in ADP and AMP links to the 5' carbon of ribose sugar through oxygen.

On the other hand, Phosphoanhydride bond is formed between two phosphate. As ADP has two phosphate, thus it contains one phosphoanhydride bond and the first phosphate is linked to ribose via one phosphoester bond.

AMP has single phosphate, so no phosphoanhydride bond is there, only one phosphoester bond is present in it.

Why is it beneficial to use textiles made from synthetic fibers

Synthetic fabrics are textiles made from man-made fibers rather than natural fibers. Chemically produced fabrics are made by joining monomers into polymers, through a process called polymerization. Natural fabrics, such as cotton, silk, and wool, are made from animals or plant based fibers. While synthetic are man made and produced entirely from chemicals to create fabrics. such as polyester, rayon, acrylic, and more. The benefits of using textiles made from synthetic fibers is that it saves the animals and plants that the fibers are based off of.

Hope this helped :)

What is the process in the cell can be disturbed by the destruction of the mitochondria?
Troyanec [42]

Answer:

The correct answer is - C. oxidation of substances organic.

Explanation:

The major function of the mitochondria is to perform cellular respiration and produce energy in the form of ATP by oxidating organic molecules. All the process requires energy to be processed, however, the main and primary process that would disturb if by the destruction of the mitochondria occur which is the oxidation of glucose to convert it to pyruvic acid to generate energy.

The Krebs cycle that takes place in mitochondria and performs oxidation of organic molecules will also be disturbed and there will be no energy for any process.
