What happens to the clathrin coat once the vesicle has budded from the golgi body?

Biology

I believe once the vesicle has budded from the golgi body the clathrin coat is lost. During budding the membranes and proteins are moved around the cell in small vesicles. A protein coat aids the budding of these vesicles from donor membranes, The major type of coat used by the cell is comprised of clathrin; a three legged protein that can form lattice-like coats on membranes destined for trafficking.

Lyrx [107]

A non random influence affecting who survives or reproduces is selective pressure. A selective pressure is considered to be a phenomenon in which behaviors of the living organisms are being driven to evolution and the natural selection in which they are also divided in to two types.

Most new alleles probably arise from ____. a. Rearrangement of existing alleles into new combinations b. Independent assortment
Drupady [299]

Answer;

- large-scale changes in chromosome structure

Explanation;

-Alterations to chromosome structure or changes in the number of copies of chromosomes in a cell.

-Allele frequencies in a population may change due to four fundamental forces of evolution: Natural Selection, Genetic Drift, Mutations and Gene Flow. Mutations are the ultimate source of new alleles in a gene pool. Mutation is important as the first step of evolution because it creates a new DNA sequence for a particular gene, creating a new allele.

Which of these options is not a mechanism to control the opening and closing of ion
Jlenok [28]

ATP binding (ATP gated) IS NOT a mechanism to control the opening and closing of ion channels (Option a).

ATP-gated channels are membrane channel proteins that open in response to binding ATP.

These channels require energy in the form of ATP to open and thus allow the passage of ions/molecules across biological membranes.

For example, the P2X7 receptor is an ATP-gated channel that mediates apoptosis (programmed cell death) of immune cells.

In conclusion, ATP binding (ATP gated) IS NOT a mechanism to control the opening and closing of ion channels (Option a).
