Answer:Organisms with identical or very similar orthologous genes belong to the same phylotype.

Explanation:

A gene is a unit of heredity which is made up of DNA( deoxyribonucleic acid). The genetic make up of an individual determines it's appearance, it's survival, it's behavior in its environment. As organisms diverge, orthologous genes retain their function yet change over evolutionary times.

Phylotypic organisms that has similar orthologous genes are made up of genes in different species that originated by vertical descent from a single gene of the last common ancestor. This can be detected by collecting all the genes in two species and comparing them all to one another. If genes from two species identify each other as their closest partners then they are considered orthologs.

Oksanka [162]

Answer:

muscular

Explanation:

Skeletal muscles are attached to bones through the tendons. Tendons are inelastic connective tissue fibres. Muscles that bring about movement at a joint are in pairs of antagonist muscles. A muscle is attached at two points, the origin and insertion where it affects the movement across a joint. Movement is caused by the contraction of a muscle which exerts considerable force.

What causes an ecosystem to move from a primary successional stage towards a relatively-stable mature ecosystem?
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

The correct answer is "secondary succession, an ecological succession step where an area previously occupied by living beings is disrupted".

Explanation:

In ecological succession, an ecosystem changes and develops through a series of steps. The first step, is the primary successional stage where rocks or other sedimentary structures are colonized by microorganisms. The second step, where the ecosystems changes towards a relatively-stable mature stage, occurs when an area previously occupied by living beings is disrupted. This step is named secondary succession, and the most clear example of this phenomena occurs when wildfire clears oak and hickory forests.
