Answer: 15.57\°

In order to understand better this problem, we can use the<u> figure attached</u>, in which we have a<u> right triangle</u> (with a 90 degree angle), where c is its hypotenuse, a is the adjacent side to the angle of elevation \theta from the boat to the top of the lighthouse and b is the opposite side to \theta.

Knowing this, we will use the tangent trigonometric function to find \theta:

tan\theta=\frac{oppositeside}{adjacentside}=\frac{b}{a}   (1)

tan\theta=\frac{34m}{122m}   (2)

tan\theta=0.278   (3)

\theta={tan}^{-1} (0.278)   (4)

Finally:

\theta=15.572\°

if there are 2040 seats in a section of a stadium, 20 seats in the first row, and 4 more seats in each row, how many rows are th
Lorico [155]

2040 = n/2(20+(n-1)4)

4080 = n(20+4n-4)

4080= 20n +4n^2 -4n

1020 = 4n + n^2

n^2 +4n -1020 =0

use common formula (can't write out so just look at answers. sorry)

which gives answers of n=-34 and n=30. since n can only be positive, n=30 so there are 30 rows. I liked that challenge

Step-by-step explanation:

If you have 12 batteries and 5 are dead, 12 - 5 is 7, so there's going to be 7/12 of a chance.
