Answer: stay the same

The melting point is a temperature when the solid object become liquid. The melting point is not influenced by how many <span>samples </span>need to be melt, but by the kind of the object itself. Water still freeze/melt at 0 Celcius no matter how many liters the sample size.
Increase in sample size only increase the force needed.

Write an equation in standard form of the line that passes through the given point and has the given slope (I need an answer ASA
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

The equation of the lines is,

1. (4, -1); m = 3 : - y = 3x - 13

2. (-8, 0); m = -4 :- y = -4x - 24

3. (-6, -10); m = 1/6 :- y = -1/6x - 9

<h3>What is an equation of the line?</h3>

An equation of the line is defined as a linear equation having a degree of one. The equation of the line contains two variables x and y. And the third parameter is the slope of the line which represents the elevation of the line.

The general form of the equation of the line:-

y = mx + c

m = slope

c = y-intercept

Slope = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / ( x₂ - x₁ )

The equation of the lines will be,

y = mx + c

y = 3x + c

-1 = 4 x 3 + c

c = -13

y = 3x - 13

y = mx + c

y = -4x + c

0 = -4 x -8 + c

c = -24

y = -x -24

y = mx + c

y = 1/6x + c

-10 = -1 + c

c = -9

y = -1/6x - 9

Therefore, the equation of the lines is,y = 3x - 13 y = -4x - 24 and y = -1/6x - 9.

Recent studies indicate that the average surface temperature of a planet has been rising steadily. Some scientists have modeled
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

a) The average global surface temperature in 2100 is 10.7°C

b) b) The slope of the function, 0.01, represents the rate of yearly increase of average surface temperature on the planet and the intercept represents the average surface temperature on the planet in 1900 (the reference year that the average surface temperature for subsequent years are calculated with respect to).

Step-by-step explanation:

T = 0.01t + 8.7

To predict the temperature of the planet in the year 2100.

We will calculate the number of years that 2100 is, since 1900

t = 2100 - 1900 = 200 years

T = (0.01 × 200) + 8.7 = 10.7°C

The average global surface temperature in 2100 is 10.7°C

b) The slope of the function, 0.01, represents the rate of yearly increase of average surface temperature on the planet and the intercept represents the average surface temperature on the planet in 1900 (the reference year that the average surface temperature for subsequent years are calculated with respect to).
