Answer:

yes they are, you can combine like terms to simplify the problem on the left. If you look at the -5x^{6} and8x^{6} you will notice that they share the same exponents as well as the same variables x that means you can add them together so it you take -5 and add 8 to it you will get 3 giving you the answer 3x^{6} . if you repeat the same process for 4x and 2x you will get 4-2 is equal to 2, meaning the equation simplifies to 3x^{6} +2x meaning that this expression is equivalent to the expression on the right

Which would you consider to be more accurate, a probability experiment of 10 trials or a probability experiment of 100 trials
Marat540 [252]
I would 100 because the more the trials means the more the results which means you get more of an accurate experiment then if you only did 10. Because since you have so many answers from all of the experiments you can conclude the correct answer from all of the experiments. I hope you get what I’m trying to say

A rectangular box has faces with areas of 12,15, and 20 square units. What is the volume of the box?
miv72 [106K]
First find the side lengths of the box by factoring each area:

12: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
15: 1, 3, 5, 15
20: 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20

Find 3 numbers that both have 2 sides have in common and can multiply to make the areas of the faces:

12: 3 * 4
15: 3 * 5
20: 4 * 5

Sides: 3, 4, and 5

Then multiply to get the volume:

3 * 4 * 5 = 60 units^2
