Answer:

\text{The solution is }x \leq -1\text{ or }x > 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the two inequalities

5x - 10 > 20\text{ or }5x - 10 \leq -15

we have to solve the above two for x.

5x - 10 > 20

Adding 10 on both sides

5x>20+10

5x>30

Divide throughout by 5, we get

x>\frac{30}{5}=6

\text{second inequality:}\thinspace 5x - 10 \leq -15

5x - 10 \leq -15

Adding 10 on both sides

5x \leq -15+10

5x\leq -5

x \leq -1

hence, the solution is

x \leq -1\text{ or }x > 6

which is required solution.

What is x-(3)/(5)=(5x)/(6)? with steps answer fast
Anettt [7]

hi

x- 3/5 =  5x/ 6

6x - 18/5 =  5x

6x -5x =  18/5

     x = 18/5

let's check :      18/5 - 3/5 =  15/5 = 3

                         5 * 18/5   / 6  =    18/6 = 3

result is correct.

The range of the function f(k) = k2 + 2k + 1 is {25, 64}. What is the function’s domain?
MAXImum [283]
<span>f(k) = k2 + 2k + 1 = (k+1)^2
The range is what the function gives to you f(k)=25=5^2 or (-5)^2
f(k)=64=8^2 or (-8)^2

You need to find the k values for these boundary values to find the domain.
Good luck :)</span>

Which of the following are rational numbers {7,-5,2/3,5.79,,√13,√-4}
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

7, -5, 2/3, 5.79

Step-by-step explanation:

rational numbers are numbers you can put in fraction form. \sqrt{13} is not a perfect square, therefore you cannot put it in fraction form. \sqrt{-4} is an imaginary number. Rational numbers are in the Real Numbers category, so it is not a rational number.
