Sati [7]

<u>ANSWER:  </u>

Scott has 6000 points in his fantasy baseball league.

<u>SOLUTION: </u>

Given, Donal currently has 7,200 points in his fantasy baseball league.

It is 20% more points than Scott points.

We need to know how many points does scott have?

Let the points with scott be x.

Then, according to give information

Donal points = scott points + 20% of scott points

\begin{array}{l}{7200=x+20 \% \times x} \\\\ {7200=x+\frac{20}{100} \times x} \\\\ {7200=x+\frac{1}{5} \times x} \\\\ {7200=x+\frac{x}{5}}\end{array}

By multiplying with 5 on both sides, we get

\begin{array}{l}{7200 \times 5=5 \times x+x} \\\\ {36000=5 x+x} \\\\ {6 x=36000} \\\\{x=\frac{36000}{6}} \\\\ {x=6000}\end{array}

Hence, scott has 6000 points in his fantasy baseball league.

Look at the arithmetic pattern shown here.
STatiana [176]

Answer:

a_{n} = 10n

Step-by-step explanation:

The nth term of an arithmetic sequence is

a_{n} = a₁ + (n - 1)d

where a₁ is the first term and d the common difference

Here a₁ = 10 and d = a₂ - a₁ = 20 - 10 = 10 , then

a_{n} = 10 + 10(n - 1) = 10 + 10n - 10 = 10n
