Anna is currently enrolled in the "Special Needs Program for Children with Severe and Profound Developmental Delays." She is fou

r years old and has been diagnosed as suffering from a "Pervasive Developmental Disorder." Her behavior is often "autistic-like" as she avoids eye contact, makes repetitive and bizarre hand movements, and her speech is often echolalic. A review of her developmental history shows that her development was apparently "normal" for the first six months of her life. It was at that time Anna's mother developed severe depression and spent a year in a mental institution. During that year, Anna was left in the care of an aunt, who reportedly abused her both physically and psychologically. It was after her mother was released from the hospital that Anna was first seen at the mental health center and diagnosed as developmentally delayed. What has happened to Anna?

Answer:

(a)- Trust vs. Mistrust Birth-18 months (Infancy) hope

Explanation:

Trust vs mistrust: Erik Erikson has given his theory of psychosocial development, and trust vs mistrust is the first stage out of Eight stages. The trust vs mistrust stage starts from birth and lasts till eighteen months of age. Erikson demonstrated that if any child lacks the development of any of the stage then it will lead to developmental disorders later in life.

The infants in this stage believes that their parents or the caregivers will provide the care, attention, and basic needs. If the needs are not being fulfilled by the parents or the caregivers, then the child might develop anxiety, suspicion, and mistrust.

Anna developed trust vs mistrust issues, because of inappropriate care and attention given to her at that stage.

Which is part of the selection process for all federal judges?
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

b. Being confirmed by the Senate

Explanation:

Regarding the selection process for all federal judges, Article II of the U.S. Constitution states the following:

... and he (The President) shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law.

Therefore, in order for a person to become a federal judge, they first have to be appointed by the President (who has to take into account the Senate's advice), and then they have to be confirmed by the Senate. This selection process is a clear example of how the Checks and Balances system work in the U.S., in which each branch of the government has the power to oversee, check and limit the other branches.
