In the Declaration of Independence Jefferson talk at length about how they were ignored thoroughly by the British people. Recognizing the former countrymen to have equal rights as the colonists as an idea of humanity, Jefferson compel to break with the former countrymen. He stated that everyone should be treated equally instead of resorting to resentment of name-calling.

Central argument presented in the Declaration of Independence is C.  A government must protect the rights of its people, and since Britain does not protect the rights of the colonists, a new government must be formed.

Jefferson presented for arguments of which the main being the third point that the government must protect the rights of the people. If their rights are not protected the people having any choice has to form a new government in order to protect their rights. Lastly, Jefferson believed to note the complaints of the people against the king and British government.
