64/7=9.14285714. It takes 9.14285714 or about 9 minutes to run a mile.

44/9=4.88888889. It takes 4.88888889 or about 5 dollars per hour.

Hi there!

To answer both of these questions, you will need a calculator.

1) If Abdul runs 7 miles in 64 minutes, you need to divide 7 by 64 to see what you get. Abdul would run for about 9 minutes before he gets to to the next mile. Yes, I rounded.

2) It costs 44$ to rent a bike for 9 hours. To figure out how many hours the bike is in use, don't you divide 44$ by 9? I divided these two numbers to get 4.88888888 and so on, which I then rounded up to 5$ per hour.

Hope this helps!

sammy [17]

A line parallel to the y-axis that passes through (77,88) is x = 77.  There is no slope-intercept form of this equation if our coordinate system is based upon a horizontal x-axis and a vertical y-axis.
