The formula for the number of combinations when choosing "r" objects (or people) from a larger set of "n" objects (or people) is:
combinations = n! / [r! * (n-r)!]
combinations = 34! / [6! * 28!]
combinations = 34*33*32*31*30*29*28! / [6! * 28!]
combinations = 34*33*32*31*30*29 / 6*5*4*3*2
combinations = 34*33*32*31*29 / 4*3*2
combinations = 34*11*4*31*29
combinations = 1,344,904

What is cubic spline?
lara [203]

Answer:

Here is your answer

Step-by-step explanation:

A cubic spline is a spline constructed of piecewise third order polynomials which pass through a set of control points. The second derivative of each polynomial is commonly set to zero at the endpoints since this provides a boundary condition that completes the system of equations.

Vikentia [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

These are geometric means problems. In the top one, a is the geometric mean as the height for both the smaller triangles inside the big one. Therefore,

\frac{4}{a} =\frac{a}{25\\}\\a^2=100\\a=10

The next one has the geometric mean of b, being a part of the smaller triangle on the left and the big triangle as a whole:

\frac{4}{b} =\frac{b}{29}\\b^2=116\\b=10.77

Find the area. A half circle has been removed. See picture for full problem. Please and thank you so very much!(:
Verdich [7]

Answer:

33.8 sq cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Required Area = Area of rectangle - Area of semicircle

=  lw-  \frac{1}{2} \pi {r}^{2} \\  \\  =  9.4 \times 4.4 -  \frac{1}{2}  \times 3.14 \times  {(2.2)}^{2}  \\  \\  = 41.36 - 7.5988 \\  \\  = 33.7612 \\  \\  \approx \: 33.8 \:  {cm}^{2}
