Answer:

  0

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's define 3 areas:

  • S = area of semicircle with radius 6 in (diameter AB)
  • T = area of quarter circle with radius 6√2 in (radius AC)
  • U = area of triangle ABC (side lengths 6√2)

The white space between the "moon" and the triangle has area ...

  white = T - U

Then the area of the "moon" shape is ...

  moon = S -white = S -(T -U) = S -T +U

The area we're asked to find is ...

  moon - triangle = (S -T +U) -U = S -T

__

The formula for the area of a circle of radius r is ...

  A = πr²

So, ...

  S = (1/2)π(6 in)² = 18π in²

and

  T = (1/4)π(6√2 in)² = 18π in²

The difference in areas is S -T = (18π in²) -(18π in²) = 0.

There is no difference between the areas of the "moon" and the triangle.

In 1999 bus fare in atlanta was 4.70.In 1979 the fare was 2/5 of the fare in 1999 what was the fare in 1979
Gennadij [26K]

Answer : 1.96 was the fare in 1979.

Explanation :

Bus fare in Atlanta in 1999 =4.70

\text{As we have given that in 1979 the fare was } \frac{2}{5} \text{ of the fare in 1999.}

\text{Bus fare in Atlanta in 1979=} \frac{2}{5}\times 4.70

Bus fare in Atlanta in 1979 is given by

\frac{2\times 4.70}{5}\\\\=\frac{9.80}{5}\\\\=1.96

∴ 1.96 was the fare in 1979.

Answer:

Option 2

Step-by-step explanation:

A 68% prediction interval for the output of 120 workers will be an interval which is of the length +/- 1* standard error of regression. Thus 68% PI is 131958 +/- 14994.93 i.e. option 2

First determine the missing angle for triangle 1 and triangle 2. Then apply the angle-angle criterion to determine if the two tr
barxatty [35]

Answer:

  • Triangle 1 – ∠1 = 25°, ∠2 = 115° Triangle 2 – ∠1 = 25°, ∠3 = 40°
  • Triangle 1 – ∠1 = 5°, ∠2 = 15° Triangle 2 – ∠2 = 15°, ∠3 = 160°

Step-by-step explanation:

You can save yourself some trouble if you realize that one of the angles in one pair must match one of the angles in the other pair.

This observation eliminates the first two choices.

__

Going further, the triangles will be similar if the dissimilar angles together with one of the similar angles totals 180°.

__

Triangle 1 – ∠1 = 50°, ∠2 = 30°

Triangle 2 – ∠2 = 20°, ∠3 = 100°  . . . . . no angles match

__

Triangle 1 – ∠1 = 60°, ∠2 = 20°

Triangle 2 – ∠1 = 40°, ∠3 = 100°  . . . . . no angles match

__

Triangle 1 – ∠1 = 25°, ∠2 = 115°

Triangle 2 – ∠1 = 25°, ∠3 = 40° . . . . 25° angles match; 25+40+115 = 180

These triangles are similar.

__

Triangle 1 – ∠1 = 5°, ∠2 = 15°

Triangle 2 – ∠2 = 15°, ∠3 = 160° . . . . 15° angles match; 15+5+160 = 180

These triangles are similar.

Can someone help me simplify this answer I keep getting it wrong?
ZanzabumX [31]

The answer is -8

I found my answer by using desmos. It is the best app for graphing. I wrote the equation and then I looked for the point 18 on the y axis and then I looked where it was on the x axis

that is how I found my answer.
