The U.N is mainly democratic and it deals with foreign policies in the US almost the exact same because both will first try to stop any conflict, and if that does not work start to stop trade, and if that does not work then intervene with military force to stop the conflict. domestic problems and foreign problems are discussed with through a vote in the UN and the US, if the vote wins to intervene in a war the UN intervenes,  if the vote that involves not intervening in a war wins the UN does not intervene.
